Our 1828 Wesley Chapel Church is available for brides seeking that special, romantic setting for their wedding. The chapel features original handmade bench seating for 100, antique pulpit, Pump organ and antique Bible.
Horse drawn carriages can transport the bride and father to the church. Following the wedding the same carriage can transport the bride and groom to the reception at nearby caterers. Alternatively, the reception can be held in the Village, with the bride and groom departing the scene in a carriage following the reception.
Clover Hill Village is first and foremost a "Living History Museum" and Wesley Chapel is a Church whose active use began in 1828 and is still used for worship services on special occasions. We are proud to make these facilities available to the discerning wedding parties for respectful use.
Wedding Chapel Rental
Rental rates for the use of Wesley Chapel is a reasonable $125. A nonrefundable deposit of $50 is required to secure a reservation. The rental fee includes a scheduled 2 hour rehearsal period and the wedding itself.
A staff representative of Clover Hill Village must be present for rehearsals, weddings and receptions
The reception can be conducted on village grounds for an additional fee, depending on the reception plans and duration.
The Society reserves the right to approve the organist and horse carriage rental. Brides can make their own arrangements for Minister, Priest or Rabbi. We will be glad to recommend if asked.
If desired the Society has a Wedding Coordinator who can make all the arrangements and plans for this special day.
Picnic Grounds
We have an area near the church that is suitable for outdoor receptions, reunions and organizational picnics. The rental fee is modest and the atmosphere memorable.
With prior arrangement, Village exhibits can be open as an added attraction for your event.
